Zamfara State Government has inaugurated a zero-contact testing booth, in order to increase testing capacity and protect health workers against coronavirus.

 Governor Bello Matawale who inaugurated the centre in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, said the new facilities would improve the state testing capacity, in line with World Health Organization’s recommendation.

He explained that with the sample collection booths, the State Government would cut cost and achieve more with less, since it had become difficult getting Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for health workers.

Conducting the Governor round the center, the leader, Flying Doctors Health Care Group, Dr Ola Browns said the Sample collection booths have the capacity to collect 70 samples in an hour and was the largest Non- Contact testing centre in Nigeria.

She also said the facility had hundred percent protection from direct Contact with all suspected cases.
