Governor Nasir El Rufai of Kaduna state has presented twenty four jeeps to High Court judges in a bid to enhance the welfare of judicial officers in the state.

Presenting the vehicles to the judges in Kaduna, the Governor said more vehicles would be provided to other judges in the state.

He disclosed plans by the government to construct housing estates for judges.

Governor El Rufai said government was working on housing scheme for judicial staff, as it is one of the issues that bothers civil servants as they approach retirement.

  According to El-Rufai, government also  plans to provide a central area for all courts in Kaduna.

He stated that the idea would be extended to Zaria, Kachia, Kafanchan, Birnin-Gwari and Saminaka to ease dispensation of justice.

  In a remark, the state’s chief judge, Mohammed Bello thanked the state government for the gesture saying it was first of its kind.
