A petition calling for the removal of the artist formerly known as Kanye West from Coachella’s 2022 lineup has now surpassed 30,000 signatures.

In a description for the Change.org petition, which has ties to a Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson fan account on Instagram, petition organizer Caramello Marie said Coachella and other entities “should be ashamed of themselves” for associating with Ye. The petition also argues that West has recently “been threatening actual bodily harm on others.”

At the time of this writing, the signature count was at 30,205 with a goal of 35,000. In a recent update shared to the petition page, the organizer said supporters can “also find us on Instagram” via the aforementioned Kardashian and Davidson fan page.

Of course, this isn’t the first festival-focused petition from the platform to make headlines. Back in January, frequent Ye collaborator Travis Scott was the subject of a petition calling for him to be added back to the Coachella lineup. That one, which followed the fatal crowd crush incident at last November’s Astroworld Festival, was later determined to have utilized “fraudulent signatures,” which were removed by the Change.org team.

“The petition was found to contain fraudulent signatures, which were removed,” a Change.org spokesperson told BuzzFeed News of that petition as part of a ajanuary-published report. “After further investigation, our team discovered that the petition had produced several fraudulent attempts, which forced a complete removal of the petition.”
