We’ll Not Tolerate Trouble Making During, After Gubernatorial Election – DIG

The Deputy Inspector General of Police supervising Northwest, DIG Hafiz Inuwa says the police will deal with any individual or group who forment trouble during and after the elections.

DIG Hafiz Inuwa disclosed this while briefing Journalist in Kano.

He said the security were fully prepared for ensuring peaceful conduct of the gubernatorial and state House of Assembly Elections.

” trouble-makers wouldn’t get away with it as they would be ruthlessly dealt with.”

“I’m here to talk to our officers and men on the need that we must be firm, focused and professional in the discharge of our duties. The police will remain apolitical. We belong to everybody and we belong to nobody. If you obey the rules, certainly we will be with you. But whoever tries to test out collective responsibility and tries to forment trouble, we are ready to deal with ruthlessly”.

On the series of posting and redeployment of new Commissioner of Police to Kano State, he said, “the posting is not peculiar to Kano alone but it cut across every states in the federation. And it is being made to clearly show that the police is apolitical and nobody can determine which way the police will go,” DIG Inuwa stated.
