Hisbah Board Inaugurates Female Personnel Training Unit

Kano state hisbah board, had set up a female personnel training unit, to promote defensive techniques and ensure physical fitness.

The commander general of the board, Sheikh Dr Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina, made the indication while declaring open a seminar organized, for the newly inaugurated members of the training unit.

According to him ,they were selected based on their track records and dedication, to achieve the desired objectives.

Sheikh Ibn Sina charged them, to be good ambassadors and rededicate themselves to their duties, to ensure good ethical conduct among hisbah female corps.

The commander general stressed that, the unit would among others organize intensive physical fitness training for females, that would give them the opportunity to compete with their male counterparts.

He urged hisbah personnel across the state to work asidiously in improving their physical fitness, to mitigate challenges associated with the job during operations such as raids and evacuation of offenders.

Earlier in her remarks, the deputy commander general women wing,Malama Kulsum Kasim, reiterated the commitment of the new unit, in discharging it’s responsibilities according to laid down rules and regulations.

She pointed out that, female personnel were part of street beggers evacuation, raids in event centers, counseling, alternative dispute resolution among others.

Malama Kulsum highlighted that,as an agency saddled with responsibilities of promoting good and prohibiting bad behaviors, the women wing had visited all the 44 local government areas, to sensitize women on the effects of drug abuse and other societal vices.

She applauded the board and Kano residents for the support, and promised to contribute their quota in uplifting the agency’s standards.

In her remarks,the newly inaugurated assistant commander general (ACG), women training, Malama Hauwa Shittu noted that, the physical training would be cascaded to all the 44 local government areas.

She hinted that, the training covers defense techniques, which would go a long way in boosting their morale, salutations while on uniform or plain clothes,among others.
