Kwara NDLEA Seeks Public Support Against Drug Abuse

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) Kwara state Command,has urged the residents of the state to support the agency’s war against drug abuse to end the menace in the society.

The state Commander of the agency, Mr. Peter Odaudu made the call while speaking exclusively with Radio Nigeria Correspondent in Ilorin.

He said the war against drug abuse (WADA) is the heart beat of the agency that is aimed at ensuring total reduction in drug demand and supply.

Commander Odaudu explained that the campaign is targeted at the grass root to ensure all stakeholders are carried along in the task of making the state and the nation free of drug abuse.

He noted that the command has recently intercepted a vehicle carrying about 90 Kilogram of codeine and tramadol .

Commander Odaudu appealed to the general public to avoid the habit of attacking operatives of the command while discharging their lawful duties.
