Kaduna state government has pledged its support to the Participants of the Senior Executive Course 44 from the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies NIPSS Kuru.

The state Deputy Governor Dr Hadiza Sabuwa stated this when she received a delegation from NIPSS who where on a research tour in the state.

Dr Hadiza Sabuwa Balarabe who thanked the team for choosing Kaduna State for their study tour, assured them of the state government’s full cooperation.

She described the theme for the research “Strengthening local government system in Nigeria as apt, stressing that, local governance deals with a wide range of issues.

According to her , local government system is very important, nothing that, the state government has been working towards various reforms to make local government system stand strong.

In a remark, the leader of the delegation, Professor Tunji Olaopa, NIPSS Directing Staff, said they are on a study tour in Kaduna State.

He said the visit was to make findings on issues pick up by presidency which is important for Nigeria to research on.

Professor Olaopa noted that, the team would not visit all states of the federation, saying that, they have selected some states that have what is needed and critical in generating the right data that will help the research to become reality.

He added that they would meet with some stakeholder of the selected local Government in the state and civil society organization , traditional rulers because their input will be critical to the project being designed.
