KNSG Committed To Implementing Third Party Insurance – Ganduje

Kano state government says it has set up a technical committee to develop an acceptable template that will guide the state in the implementation of third party insurance policy of the federal government.

The state governor Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje stated this while declaring open a two day workshop organized by the national insurance commission on the full implementation of third party insurance held in kano.

The governor who was represented by the speaker Kano state house of assembly Engineer Hamisu Ibrahim Chidari,maintained that the state had carefully appraised the implementation of the policy and would key into other areas such as buildings under construction,public liability insurance, group life insurance among others.

Dr. Ganduje said the state government had provided a workable framework that would fast track implementation of these policies.

“Two or more storey buildings,fire insurance,comprehensive auto insurance and others that would add value to our quest”

In his remarks, the secretary to the state government,Alhaji Usman Alhaji reaffirmed the state government’s commitment in ensuring full implementation of the new insurance policy.

He commended the national insurance commission for organizing the workshop and charged participants to make judicious use of the knowledge gained.

In an address, the Chief Executive Officer of the National Insurance commission,Chief Subday Thomas reiterated the agency’s readiness to work hand in hand with Kano state government and other relevant stakeholders in moving the state forward.
