Kwara State Polytechnic Expels 29 Students

At least twenty nine students have been expelled by Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, over examinations malpractices.

In a statement issued by the Principal Assistant Registrar of the Institution, Mrs. Opadiran Oluwakemi said , the offense is contrary to the matriculation oath the students sworn to.

According to the statement ,the Institution’s governing Council considered the report of the Academic Board in respect of the case and approved the immediate expulsion of the culprits from the Polytechnic.

The statement explained that the expulsion of the students is in line with the provision in the Reviewed Student’s information and Regulations of 2019.

The statement urged the expelled students to hand over all Polytechnic properties in their possession to their Heads of Department or the appropriate Polytechnic Authority.

The statement advised the affected students to comply strictly with the directive to avoid litigation.
