CS-SUNN Advocates more funding for Nutrition

A non-governmntal organisation, Civil Society Scaling Up Nutrition In Nigeria-CS-SUNN has advocated for improved funding of nutrition in the Kaduna State.

Assistant Project Manager of CS-SUNN, Mr Kunle Ishola made this known at a two-day workshop in collaboration with media held in kaduna.

Mr Kunle Ishola said collaborating with stakeholders, CSO’s and Media would strengthen advocacy skills and capacity health and nutrition.

He pleaded with media to use their skills to advocate loudly to government on the issue of increased funding for malnourished children in the society and the country at large.

Also speaking, Kaduna state coordinator, Mr Silas Ideva lamented on the situation of malnourished children and pregnant mother’s which he said it’s a major challenge faced in the development of the country.

He pointed out that no country grows with children dying daily with health challenges.

A facilitator at the workshop, Mr Mustapha Jumare promised that Kaduna Material and Accountability Mechanism-KADMAM would partner with stakeholders, CS-SUNN and media in tackling increase funding for nutrition.
