Jigawa State Government has reiterated its commitment to continue working closely with the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to guarantee smooth and successful Hajj operations.

The State Deputy Governor, Engineer Aminu Usman, stated this when he received a NAHCON delegation on a courtesy visit in Dutse, the state capital.

He also reaffirmed the state’s commitment to pilgrims’ welfare, pointing out that this dedication has consistently earned the state top ranking in national Hajj operations.

Aminu Usman assured the delegation that the state would maintain its leadership position. He expressed the state government’s gratitude for the visit and commended the Commission’s exceptional performance.

Earlier in his remarks during the meeting, the NAHCON North-West Zonal Commissioner, Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman, outlined key policy updates from NAHCON.

According to him, some of the policies include mandatory medical fitness evaluations for prospective pilgrims.

Sheikh Bin Uthman emphasized the critical need for sustained collaboration between state boards and the national body.

Radio Nigeria reports that the delegation led by Sheikh Muhammad Bin Uthman was on an official visit to the State Pilgrims Board to assess readiness for the 2027 Hajj operations.

The delegation was received by the Director General of the Board, Alhaji Ahmed Umar Labbo, who conducted the team on a comprehensive tour of state facilities.

Labbo affirmed that the state is fully prepared for the 2027 Hajj operations, adding that the Board had completely sold all its allocated Hajj seats to prospective pilgrims.

The DG added that the state has also officially requested additional seats for its intending pilgrims in order to accommodate growing demand.
