Nasarawa State Police Command has arrested two suspects involved inI criminal conspiracy, trespass, theft, and unlawful possession of a firearm in keffi local government area of the state.
In a statement issued to newsmen by police public relation officer SP Ramhan Nansel said a resident of kofar hausa, keffi, reported at the keffi divisional headquarters that one Shafiu Abdul-Rauf of the same area had unlawfully trespassed into his room.
It says, the complainant further stated that upon raising an alarm, the suspect fled with his android phone.
The statement explained that, detectives attached to the division launched an operation which led to the arrest of the principal suspect, Shafiu Abdul-Rauf, and one Usman Abdulmumuni, both residents of mayanka, keffi.
A search conducted on the suspects led to the recovery of the, one locally made pistol loaded with one live cartridge,two sharp cutlasses, one knife,two tecno android phones, one Itel mobile phone, a bunch of keys, and other incriminating items.
The suspects are currently in police custody, while investigations are ongoing to determine the extent of their involvement in other criminal activities and to facilitate further necessary action.
