The Nigerian Institute of Public Relations-NIPR says it will continue to support efforts in nation-building.

President of the Institute, Dr Ike Neliaku stated this during the induction of members and fellows on the sidelines of the on-going Nigeria Public Relations Week 2026 holding in Kaduna.

Dr Ike Neliaku noted that recently, the Global Alliance For Public Relations and Communication recognised the NIPR for upholding reputation as its core asset.

According to him, the Institute has developed one of the best global frameworks to measuring reputation.

While pledging to work collectively to sustain the reputation of Nigeria, Dr Neliaku maintained that fellows of the NIPR are carefully selected in line with global best practices.

Speaking on behalf of the awardees, Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu tasked PR practitioners to deploy their expertise towards addressing misinformation, distrust and division to promote democracy and development.

According to him, Nigeria’s future would be brighter when Institutions communicate effectively, listen more and serve with sincerity.

Dr Benjamin Kalu expressed gratitude to the Institute for honouring him and other awardees.

In his remarks, Minister of State, Works, Bello Goronyo re-iterated the commitment of the Federal Government in promoting freedom of speech and ensuring that every person has his rightful place in the scheme of things, irrespective of differences.

He described the NIPR as one of the most reputable professional bodies in Nigeria and beyond.

A total of 109 new members were inducted into the NIPR.

Highpoint of the event was the unveiling of the fourth register of the NIPR.

The event had in attendance, captains of Industries, members of the academia, policy makers among other important dignitaries.
