The forum of ethics group in nasarawa state has urged the national leadership of All Progressive Congress APC to reject the endorsement of Senator Aliyu Ahmed Wadada as the prepared successor of Governor Abdullahi Sule in the next years general election.

National President of the forum Mr. Silas Dauda Yileni who made appeal during a press conference in lafia, the state capital, said It is disturbing that the Governor made this significant declaration without broad consultation and carrying the ethnic nationalities along.
The forum national president of the ethics nationalities also demand an indigenous governorship successor from the ruling APC and other political parties irrespective of religion and nothing short of an indigenous aspirant, threating to mobilize their people against such injustice.
“The Governor has the constitutional right to chose his prepare successor and must emerge through a transparent democratic process. We recall when H.E. Umaru Tanko Al-Makura endorsed H.-E Engr. Abdullahi A. Sule, due process was follow; he said……”
“We demand a fair playing field for all APC governorship aspirants eyeing the Shendam Road Government House, ensuring that a candidate emerges through a transparent and democratic primary process; the forum leader explained…..”
Mr. Silas Dauda Yileni also clarify that zoning has never been a legitimate practice and unconstitutional matter of informal agreement adding, the people of the zone must be empowered to select their preferred aspirant without external imposition.
“We will not support the imposition of non-indigenous candidate on the natives for fairness, equity and justice. Let it be noted that our loyalty lies first with our people, not with a political party; he added……”
The National President of the ethics nationalities urge all citizens of the state to refrain from making provocative and disparaging remarks, saying the stand resolute in the commitment to safeguard the political future of the state.
