Kaduna state government has reiterated commitment to support the National Youth Service Corps-0NYSC by upgrading its camp facilities and creating an enabling environment for the scheme to thrive.

Governor Uba Sani stated this at the closing ceremony of the Batch “A” Stream One Orientation course of the NYSC at the temporary camp in Kaduna.

Represented by the commissioner, Ministry of Youth Development, Mrs Gloria Ibrahim, the Governor assured the corp members that his administration’s top most priority is to ensure a safe and secured environment for corp members throughout their service year and beyond.

The Governor who congratulated them, affirmed that he heard wonderful reports of their energy, discipline and unity throughout their time in the camp.

He urged them to embrace their host communities, respect their culture and look for ways to contribute their best for the benefit of all, while urging all organisations and employers to give the corp members the opportunity to learn and contribute positively for meaningful development.

In her remark, Kaduna state NYSC Coordinator, Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza, urged the corp members to leverage on community development service program for meaningful impact in their host communities to leave a lasting legacy.

Mrs Efeke Murna Dadaza, expressed delight over reports of the corp members demonstration of discipline, enthusiasm and active participation in camp activities.

She enjoined them to foster cordial relationship with their host communities to ensure peaceful coexistence by applying the discipline instilled in them during the orientation course, while encouraging them to perfect the skills acquired to become self reliant and become employers of labour.

The Batch “A” Stream One corp members have been dispatched to their various places of primary assignments to continue the mandatory service to the nation.
