Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has called for renewed commitment to supporting the nation’s girls to reach their full potential as the world marks the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child.

In a message to commemorate the day, themed “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis,” Senator Tinubu paid tribute to the resilience of girls across Nigeria and beyond who continue to overcome daily challenges.

She acknowledged the courage of girls striving for education, fetching water over long distances, or enduring displacement, saying their strength and determination light the way to a brighter future.

The First Lady urged Nigerians to unite in empowering and protecting the girl child, emphasizing that their growth and success are vital to building a stronger, more inclusive society.

Senator Tinubu concluded her message by wishing every girl a happy International Day of the Girl Child 2025.
