Federal Commissioner representing Kaduna State at the National Population Commission NPC, Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi, has emphasized the importance of women registering their children for birth and civil registration to enable them benefit from the process.

She made the call during a town hall meeting as part of her ongoing state-wide sensitization visit to Lere and Kauru Local Government Areas on the upcoming digital census.

Hajiya Sa’adatu Garba Dogonbauchi also urged residents of the state to actively participate in the exercise when the time comes.

The Federal Commissioner also appealed to religious and traditional leaders to disseminate census information to communities at the grassroot.

In their separate remarks, Chairman of Lere and Kauru LGAs, Jafaru Ahmed and Bashir Dawaki assured of collaboration with the Commission to ensure full participation by the people.

Religious and traditional leaders present at the event also pledged their support for the successful conduct of the exercise.

The sensitization visit is aimed at engaging local leaders and stakeholders in the census process, promoting awareness and participation among residents of Kaduna State.
