Kaduna State Ministry of Education has debunked media reports claiming that the State Government reintroduced the five-day teaching system.

The State Commissioner for Education Professor Abubakar Sani Sambo debunked the rumour in an interview with newsmen in Kaduna.

He said the state government has not restored the 5-day school week; as it is still a proposal currently under consultation with stakeholders.

Professor Abubakar Sambo said the media misquoted him on the issue and advised the general public to disregard the reports.

He stated that the State Government has not taken any decision regarding the five day teaching system.

The Commissioner, therefore, called on the Media to always scrutinize their reports before dissemination to avoid causing confusion among the public.
