Zamfara State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Nafisa Muhammad Maradun, has commended a member of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Kabiru Ahmadu Mai Palace, for his exceptional efforts in renovating and equipping primary healthcare centres within his constituency.

Speaking during a meeting with officials of the State Primary Health Care Board, Dr. Maradun praised the lawmaker who represents Gusau and Tsafe Federal Constituency for his people-focused approach and unwavering commitment to strengthening grassroots healthcare delivery.

She described his initiatives as people centered and impactful.

Dr Nafisa Maradun pointed out that, his projects are already making a visible difference in the lives of residents in Gusau and Tsafe.

Alhaji Mai Palace is currently spearheading major upgrades at the Dr. Karima Primary Health Care Centre, Magami PHC, and Shagari PHC.

The scope of work includes expanding bed capacity from 6 to 30 beds at each facility, constructing new blocks for family planning, National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) services, and polio and immunization units, as well as enlarging antenatal care wards.

Dr. Maradun described the projects as a model of true representation and called on other political leaders to emulate Hon. Mai Palace’s example.

She also urged residents of the constituency to continue supporting the lawmaker, particularly as elections approach, stressing that sustained community backing is key to maintaining and expanding such life-changing interventions.
