National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, in Taraba State has held a strategic workshop aimed at enhancing collaboration with corps employers and improving service delivery.

The workshop, held at the Taraba State Polytechnic in Jalingo, brought together key stakeholders to review challenges, share experiences, and develop strategies for improving corps member engagement in various workplaces.

Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Olakunle Nafiu, represented by Deputy Director of the North East Area Office II, Gabriel Watsu, said the workshop was critical for addressing challenges and fostering stronger ties between the scheme and employers.

He described it as a vital platform for communication and problem-solving in corps administration.

Gabriel Watsu expressed confidence that the 2025 edition of the workshop would generate implementable recommendations to support national development and strengthen employer-corps member relations.

In his remark, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mr. Ella Aji Williams, emphasized that effective partnerships with employers are essential for maximizing the impact of the scheme.

He stated that the NYSC remains committed to mutual growth, innovation, and social responsibility through practical collaborations.

Stakeholders at the event shared insights and pledged continued support to ensure that corps members contribute meaningfully to their host communities and workplaces.
