A coalition of Federal Government retirees has been formed in Lagos to demand the settlement of all outstanding arrears owed to senior citizens.

A member of the coalition, Comrade Akindele Dupe, who disclosed this, said no stone would be left unturned until their demands are met.

Comrade Dupe also alleged that the Nigeria Union of Pensioners is being used by federal authorities to frustrate the coalition’s efforts for reasons best known to them.

She warned that such frustration would not be tolerated by well meaning members of the coalition who have vowed to fight antics of the NUP leadership, described as toothless bulldog.

Comrade Dupe Akindele stressed the need for honest and genuine members of the coalition to rally round and ensure that letters written to the Minister of Finance Accountant General of the Federation and Pension Transitional Arrangement Directorate make positive impact.
