The Zamfara State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu over the recent appointment of one of its illustrious sons, the former Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly, Right Honourable Sanusi Garba Rikiji, as Director General of the Nigerian Office for Trade Negotiations (NOTN).
In a statement issued by the APC Publicity Secretary in Zamfara State, Yusuf Idris Gusau, the party described the appointment as a clear demonstration of the love and confidence President Tinubu has in Zamfara State and its people.
According to the statement, the APC, under the focused leadership of Tukur Umar Danfulani in the state, remains committed to supporting President Tinubu and all his laudable initiatives aimed at transforming Nigeria for the better.
While congratulating Rikiji on this milestone, the party urged him to remain a shining example and a worthy ambassador of Zamfara State in his new national assignment.
The APC expressed confidence that, Rikiji will work tirelessly to promote President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by bringing fresh, visionary ideas to reposition the country’s trade sector and foster a more progressive environment for free and fair trade.
The party also recalled Rikiji’s track record as Zamfara State’s Commissioner of Finance, where he spearheaded significant economic reforms that attracted foreign investment and boosted the state’s internally generated revenue, thereby revitalizing various sectors of the economy.
“We encourage him to sustain his commitment to innovation and progress in advancing initiatives that will benefit Nigerians and contribute meaningfully to President Tinubu’s national development goals,” the statement added.
The APC in Zamfara also thanked President Tinubu for the appointment and assured him of the party’s total support.
“We are confident that our son will justify the trust reposed in him by delivering on this important national assignment.”
The party also offered prayers for President Tinubu, asking Almighty Allah to continue to guide and protect him as he leads the country with vision and courage that will make Nigerians proud.
