Member of the state House of Assembly representing Gwiwa Constituency, Alhaji Aminu Zakari, has described the commencement of Firji-Guntai-Buntusu-Dan Abzin road project awarded by the state government as a long awaited development in the area.
In an interview with Newsmen, Alhaji Aminu Zakari said Gwiwa community will continue to remember the administration of Governor Umar Namadi for answering their call to construct the road which will cut across seven wards linking with Ingawa local government area of Katsina state.
According to him, farmers and traders more especially in Guntai and Buntusu communities endow with arable land for wet and dry season farming have suffered for many years as a result of lack of access road to reach markets.
He therefore expressed the confidence that when completed, the road will enable the people to travel freely across towns and villages in the seven wards to reach markets, hospitals as well as visit relations.
Commenting on the Citizens Engagement Programme held in Gwiwa Local Government, Alhaji Aminu Zakari explained that the event was historic in view of the numerous activities which took place including the commissioning of a feeder road and the renovation of Gwiwa Primary Health Center undertaken by the local council.
Zakari commended Governor Umar Namadi, the Deputy Governor, Speaker of the House of Assembly, the Secretary to the State Government and other top government functionaries for identifying with Gwiwa community during the event.
