The remains of late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, will be laid to rest at his hometown in Daura on Tuesday, 15th July, 2025 after the funeral prayers which will also be held in Daura.

Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Radda, announced this in Katsina while briefing newsmen on burial arrangements for the late former President.

He noted that the arrangements were concluded following consultations with the late President’s family and close associates.

The Governor explained that the late former President’s remains will arrive Daura from London later today, Monday.

He expressed condolences to the Muhammadu Buhari family, people of Katsina State and other Nigerians over the elder statesman’s demise, urging them to pray for the repose of his soul.

Governor Radda said the state government was collaborating with  federal government and the deceased’s family to ensure that the former President gets a befitting burial.

“We pray Almighty Allah to grant his soul eternal rest and reward him with Aljannatul Firdaus.

“We also condole with the President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, over the passing of his predecessor, may Allah give us the strength to bear this great loss”, the Governor said.
