Kano State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps NSCDC has arrested seven suspected vandals and two thieves in separate incidents.

 

The Public Relations Officer of the command SC Ibrahim Abdullahi disclosed this to Newsmen in Kano.

He said the suspected vandals were arrested at the Malam Aminu Kano International Airport for stealing and vandalizing ten manhole metal covers belonging to the Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

Abdullahi noted that the suspects ; Abubakar Umar, Sadiq Jafar, Iliya Nasir, Abba Muhammad, Al-ameen Idris, Shamsu Ibrahim Usman, and Yusuf Abdulmumini, were apprehended by NSCDC personnel deployed to the facility.

In a related development, the NSCDC  also arrested two suspected thieves, Haruna Musa and Sadiq Suleiman, for stealing four large solar panels at Kanawa Economic City, Dangwauro, in Kumbotso Local Government Area.

 

Exhibits recovered from the suspects include ten manhole covers and one Mercedes Benz car.

The suspects will be charged to court by the Corps’ legal unit after completion of investigations.
