The Administration of Governor Nasir Idris, in Kebbi State, has expended billions of money from May 29,2023 to date to reduce the myriad of suffering of its people to make fortune and make it better than what he inherited.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture Alhaji Yakubu Ahmed Birnin Kebbi, who stated this at a Press Briefing organised by the Ministry of Information and Culture, stressed that, the Governor had roundly succeeded in transforming Kebbi State in various fronts of human endeavour.
“For instance, irked by the suffering of the people of the state due to the present socio-economic quagmire, the Governor had bought assorted grains worth over N12 billion and distributed free to the citizens. It is verifivable by all well-intentioned minds that the palliatives had gotten to all categories of people in the State ‘, he said.
The Commissioner said that, Kebbi State Government must be commended for the distribution of palliatives to all categories of beneficiaries, irresepective of any political or religious affinities.
On food security, the Commissioner explained that, efforts and measures put in place by the people-oriented Nasiru Idris led administration had gone a long way in bolstering food security and ensuring that the people of the state never went hungry.
According to the Commissioner, the administration had spent huge amount of money in the purchase of assorred farm inputs and implements and distributed same free to the farmers across the state besides the aerial spray of quelea birds.
He called on the opposition and naysayers to stop the campaign of calumny against the Nasiru Idris led administration in order to allow the governor concentrate on the people’s oriented projects he has already started.
The ongoing futile campaigns of calumny against the Nasiru Idris led administration will continue to hit the rock and amount to no effect because his doggedness, piety, patriotism, transparency and accounbility have remained unparalleled in the history of Kebbi State.” The Commissioner affirmed.
