Kano State Government has reiterated its commitment in ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

The state Commissioner for Environment, Alhaji Nasiru Sule Garo made the indication, while receiving the new Managing Director of Kano Sustainable Project (KSP) in his office.

The Commissioner charged the new MD to be proactive, by reviving the agency, in view of its significance, to the wellbeing of the teeming populace.

Nasiru Garo explained that, the present administration was dedicated to improving the living standards of its citizens, through a clean environment free of waste and environmental pollution.

The Commissioner stressed that the ministry is aware of the present situation of the agency which needed urgent intervention.

“I personally discovered and witnessed a lot of issues during my visitation to the agency as a commissioner for Environment” .

He expressed optimism that with the commitment and zeal by the present administration, all the issues would be address simultaneously.

Earlier, in his remarks the new Managing Director of Kano Sustainable Project (KAP), Alhaji Usaini Sarki Aliyu Madobi, pointed out that, they were at the commissioner’s office to discuss vital issues, regarding the agency for necessary action.

He highlighted some of the problems bedeviling the agency to include, the permanent site, operational vehicles and dilapidated equipment among others.

He solicited the commissioner’s urgent attention , with a view to finding lasting solutions to achieve the desired objectives.
