The Public Complaints Commission Kano office has resolved 4,843 disputes in the year 2022.
The Federal Commissioner of the Commission in Kano, Ahmad Ado Dadinkowa disclosed this during a media briefing held at federal secretariat Kano.
He said during the year under review, the commission had received series of complaints from both the private and public sectors.
The Commissioner said among the resolved complaint by the commission in 2022 includes proactive investigation on unregistered cooperative societies, complaints received by the Kantin Kwari market traders, popularly known as ‘yan Tebura against KNUPDA.
Alhaji Ahmad Ado Dadin Kowa noted that the commission received 6,933 complaints in 2022 and was able to resolved 4,843 disputes, with pending cases of 2,090.
He maintained that the Commission was able to maintain a good working relationship with other sister agencies like EFCC, ICPC, PCAC, NHRC and DSS among others.
The Federal Commissioner explained that the commission would no longer tolerate refusal to honoring its invitation by some people, saying anyone found guilty of such act would face wrath of the Law.
“I am happy to inform you that in the year under review we are able to establish zonal offices in Gaya, Gwarzo, Gezawa, Tudun wada ,and Bichi”.
Dadinkowa added that some of the challenges affecting smooth operations of the Commission includes inadequate funds to carry out services effectively, review of outdated laws and logistics among others.
