Chairman House of Representatives Committee on Army , Mr. Ibrahim Almustapha Rabah has assured of its commitment to providing more funds to the Nigerian Army.
The chairman gave the assurance while on oversight function at the 8th division, Nigerian Army Sokoto state.
According to him, the Army together with other security agencies has done well in the fight against banditry, kidnapping and other crimes in the country.
Mr. Ibrahim Mustapha who was conducted round along other members of his team by the General Officer Commanding of the division, Major General Uwem Bassey to inspect the various executed projects said the security challenges bedeviling the country has subsided.
Radio Nigeria in Sokoto report that the Army committee chairman expressed satisfaction with the achievements recorded by the Division in the area of projects execution .
In his speech, the General Officer Commanding the division Major General Uwem Bassey said no fewer than forty six completed and ongoing projects were initiated by the army division.
