Economic and Financial Crime Commission has unveiled its service provision charter for prompt action on reported cases.

The document was presented at EFCC, Headquarters, in Abuja to commemorate this year’s customer service week.

The EFCC Chairman, Mr Abdul-rasheed Bawa said the Commission had so far recorded two thousand six hundred and sixty-one convictions this year.

Mr Bawa represented by the Commission’s secretary, DR George Okpungu said the service charter was the representation of what the commission stood for and would be used as a tool by SERVICOM for evaluation of the commission.

The National Coordinator SERVICOM, Mrs Nnenna Akajemeli described the service charter as a document that explained the expectations of the public from EFCC and vice versa.

Mrs Akajemeli also said there was the need for proper sensitization of the public on what was contained in the service charter to achieve accountability and transparency.

The Director General, Bureau of Public Service Reform, Dr Arabi Dasuki said the fight against crimes required staff’s ethical commitment and that the customer service week would also help organizations review their mandate.

The EFCC Charter is a thirty-three page document.
