House of Representatives Committee on Finance has resolved to set up a committee on status enquiry for some agencies to get more details of their revenue generation and expenditure for better performance.

The Deputy Chairman of the committee, Mr Saidu Abdullahi stated this at the resumed hearing of 2023-2025 MTEF at the National Assembly.

Mr Abdullahi expressed dissatisfaction with the presentations of the Nigerian Export Promotion Council, News Agency of Nigeria, National Office for Technology Acquisition and promotion as well as the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority. 

According to the Deputy Chairman, the committee will work with the agencies  and the office of the Accountant General of the Federation to ensure that all agencies comply with financial acts on remittances to the Federation

The Head Monitoring and Execution Fiscal Responsibility Commission, Mr Bello Gulmare, said that all agencies were dully informed of there remittances.
