The Inter Party Advisory Council, IPAC says it will collaborate with the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission, ICPC to ensure that persons with questionable characters were not elected during next year’s general election.

IPAC Chairman, Alhaji Yagbagi Sani stated this in Abuja when he led a delegation to the ICPC Headquarters.

Alhaji Sani who decried massive vote buying that characterized recent elections urged the anti- graft agency to arrest and prosecute anyone found wanting in future elections.

Responding, the ICPC Chairman, Professor Bolaji Owasanoye said the anti graft agency was neutral in election matters and would not be used as a weapon to intimidate and persecute political opponents.

He said that the agency usually commence investigation on petitions received after the election.

Professor Owasanoye said that ICPC would continue to deploy its resources towards preventing and combatting all forms of corruption in Nigeria.
