National Broadcasting Commission (NBC) says it has revoked the the broadcast license of over 50 media including Silverbird TV, Rhythm, AIT , Raypower and others.
The commission said the affected media were suspended for failing to renew their licences.
The Director General of the commission, Mr Balarabe Shehu directed state offices of the commission to liaise with the security agencies to ensure the operations of the affected stations are shutdown within the next 24hours .
