The Minister of Education, Professor Adamu Adamu, has directed examination bodies in the country to find effective ways of eradicating malpractice in the system.

Briefing State House Correspondents in Abuja on the performance of his ministry, the Minister however acknowledged that efforts taken by the bodies had greatly reduced examination malpractice.

He urged them to liaise with security agencies to find factors promoting examination malpractice, including those perpetrating it, and take action against that.

Professor Adamu disclosed that the National University Commission had discovered the existence of over 70 illegal universities, stressing that the effected universities will soon be closed.

On ASUU strike, the Minister said so much had been done by the administration to ensure uninterrupted flow of education, and hoped that their negotiations with the union would yield the desired results.
