Kano State Hisbah board has commenced training of its newly recruited personnel on conflict management and peace building.

Commander general of the board, Sheikh Dr. Harun Muhammad Sani Ibn Sina made the disclosure, while flagging off the capacity building workshop at NYSC training camp, Kusalla, Karaye local government area, Kano.

According to him, the agency was committed to training and retraining of the new hisbah corps to maintain an enabling environment.

The commander general stressed that, Kano hisbah is at the fore front of mitigating societal vices through counseling and alternative dispute resolution to move the state forward.

Sheikh Ibn Sina, urged participants to make judicious use of the knowledge gained to achieve the desired objectives.

Earlier in his remarks, deputy commander general operations, Kano state hisbah board, Malam Shehu Tasi’u Ishaq, pointed out that participants were drawn across the 44 local government areas, to brainstorm on security techniques, domestic violence, child delinquency and other societal problems.

Radio Nigeria reports that, the seven days workshop would be marked by presentations, practical session, debate and physical exercise.
