Director General, National Orientation Agency Dr. Garba Abari

Federal Government says it will leave no stone unturned in its efforts to stop the recruitment of children as soldiers by terrorists.

Director General, National Orientation Agency Dr. Garba Abari made this known in a statement during the ongoing national sensitisation programme in all local government areas of the country.

He said the agency has commenced advocacy visits to traditional, religious and community leaders as well as residents to seek collaboration in a bid to ending recruitment of children and youths by bandits and terrorists.

Kaduna State Director of NOA, Alhaji Galadima Zubairu Soba said all hands are on deck in Kaduna directorate to ensure the sensitisation is stepped down to all local government areas to ensure maximum results.

He charged the public to compliment government effort in containing security threats across the country.

Radio Nigeria reports that during one of the sensitization programmes at the palace of Narayi District head, Mallam Garba Sule in chikun LGA, staff of NOA interacted with residents of the community, members of civilian JTF, ward heads, religious bodies etc on way forward.

Responding, district head of Narayi, Mallam Garba Sule charged parents to be vigilant while discharging their responsibilities and enjoined them to send their wards to school or engage them in useful entrepreneurship skills to empower them to be self reliant.
