The Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Kano, Adamu Idris Zakari said the command has apprehended electricity vandals in Kura local government of the State.

The Commandant stated this while briefing journalists in Kano.

He said the arrest was sequel to a formal report by the authority of Kura general hospital in the Kura local government on the recent vandalization of some electricity facilities in the area.

Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari explained that following the report the personnel of the Corps swung into action and were able to apprehend two suspects named urajo Tanimu and Ghali Ali with 8 meters of Armo Cable in their possession.

According to him, the monetary value of the materials is worth a million Naira.

The commandant further explained that another 32 KVA cable wire was also recovered by his personnel on patrol at Gaya Local Government Area of Kano state.

He maintained that the suspect abandoned the stolen cable wires when they sited the personnel of NSCDC on patrol at Gaya local government area.

“We have commenced an investigation, and I assure you we will bring the culprits to book”.

Commandant Adamu Idris Zakari noted that the command would not relent in ensuring that the culprit was being presented before a court of law for prosecution.

He advised the general public to be extra vigilant and should report any suspicious movement to the relevant authorities.
