The Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu has approved the release of one point nine Billion Naira to the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB).

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Abubakar Muazu Dakingari, the Chairman of the board, Professor Suleiman Khalid Jega, says, the fund is for the construction of additional classrooms and renovation of dilapidated physical structures in Primary and Junior Secondary Schools across the State.

The statement adds that, the fund will also be used to provide school furniture and portable drinking water, sanitation facilities, perimeter fencing as well as Information and Communication Technology, ICT facilities in all the schools.

It explains that, recently in the state, the Governor directed the Board to continue with the establishment of Nomadic Schools in Fulani settlements throughout the state which has been done.

According to the statement, Professor Khalid, assures that every child of the state will be educated to ensure a better society.
