Armed forces Command and Staff College Jaji has conducted its first bi-annual field training exercise code-named ‘Exercise Ubiak Isin’ for students of junior course ninety-three.

The weeklong training which held along jaji-labar-dunki-bina-wazata general area was designed to assess student officers on various aspects of leadership, tactics as well as command and control in all phases of conventional and asymmetric warfare.

Addressing newsmen, Commandant of the college, Air Vice Marshal Olurotimi Anthony Tuwase explained that Exercise Ubiak Isin was also aimed at training the students on the practical aspects of counter-insurgency and counter-terrorism operations.

He maintained that the student officers were as well, trained on the non-kinetic aspect of warfare where they partook in the distribution of relief materials brought in by NEMA.

The Commandant disclosed that the College collaborate with relevant agencies in this regard, so that the students get acquainted with humanitarian activities in real life situation.

Highlight of the Exercise was a free medical outreach programme as well as the distribution of relief materials to members of Bina and Wazata communities as part of corporate social responsibility of the college.

Some of the items distributed include bags of beans, maize, rice, oil among others.
