
Kebbi state Governor, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, has directed public officers and civil servants to rededicate themselves to the attainment of aims and objectives of his administration towards uplifting the living condition of the people of the state.
The Governor gave the directive at a town hall meeting organised by the State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planing on the preparation for the 2022 State budget.
The Governor, however warned against complacency and called for collective efforts by all to move the state forward.
“The town hall meeting is very important in view of the fact that, we are collectively here to discuss the way forward for the state”.
According to the Governor, there is the need to make the state renowned in terms of transparency and accountability saying, such a feat would attract more local and foreign investors into the state.

Governor Atiku Bagudu, stated that as resources were scarce, his administration was doing its best to properly manage the accruable funds.
The State Commissioner for Budget and Economic Planing, Alhaji Abba Sani Kalgo, gave detailed highlights of the 2022 budget tagged “Budget of Economic Consolidation”.
He said, the 2022 budget has been designed with scientific mechanism taking into consideration all variables in the course of implementation.

He described the state as one of the best fiscal performing states in the Federation.
The Commissioner explained that, the proposed 2022 budget is in the total sum of 186,112,116,464 Billion Naira while the capital expenditure is 125,059,664,781 Billion Naira and the recurrent expenditure is 61,052,451,684 Billion Naira.
