Nigeria Union of Journalists, Zaria Unit in Kaduna State has lauded the measures put in place by the Government in addressing the current security challenges bedevilling the State.

This is a sequel to a resolution of the Union during its Congress in Zaria, which reviewed the critical security situation and the steps Government is taking to arrest the situation.

While adopting the measures by the state through restriction of activities of the KEKE NAPEP and banning the use of motorcycles also called on the security agencies to cooperate towards defeating bandits and banditry in the State

Congress appealed to the state government to exempt people on essential duties on the ban using motorcycles to enable them to carry out their assignments without any intimidation by the law enforcement agents.

It however, felicitate with the Emir of Zazzau, Malam Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli on his first anniversary, noting the tremendous achievements recorded so far in the Emirate under his watch.

The Union similarly, expressed dismay over the proliferation of quacks of Journalists and social media influencers parading themselves as Journalists.
