Nigeria has made a commitment to assist Burundi revamp her post-war socio-economic status.

President Muhammadu Buhari made the pledge in New York, United States, on the margins of the 76th United Nations General Assembly, while responding to Burundian President, Evariste Ndayishimiye’s call to that effect.

The Burundian President had assured that his country was out of conflict, explaining that there is now peace and reconciliation, which will pave the way for Burundi to exploit her vast opportunities.

He said his country was looking for support of friendly nations in the areas of oil supply, agriculture, mines, and several others, which Nigerian experts can provide.
