Governor Badaru

Nigeria Police Force has commended Jigawa state government for its support and cooperation given to security agencies in the state to ensure the peace and tranquility.

The Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba Alkali stated this during a courtesy visit to Governor Badaru Abubakar at government house Dutse.

The Inspector General of police Usman Baba Alkali explained that jigawa state governor Badaru Abubakar had been supporting the security agencies in the state.

According to him, he was in jigawa state as part of his familiarization tour to the 36 states of the federation.

Also speaking, Governor Badaru Abubakar said the Inspector General of Police has been proactive to ensure peace and security in the country.

He pointed out that the state government and people of the state were aware with the giant stride of police and other security agencies to overcome the current security challenges facing the country.

Badaru Abubakar therefore assured that the state government would continue to cooperate and support security agencies to ensure the protection of lives and property of the people.

Shortly after receiving the IGP at his Palace, the Emir of Dutse, Dr. Nuhu Muhammadu Sunusi urged the Nigeria Police Force to train and re-train its personnel to cope with the current security challenges in the country.

He expressed satisfaction with the performance of the new Inspector General of Police to bring to an end the issue of banditry, and other related crimes in the country.

The Emir assured the Inspector General of traditional institution’s support in his efforts to maintain law and order in Nigeria.

The IGP noted that traditional institutions had a vital role to play in ensuring relative peace and security in Nigeria.
