Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has declared that the state is relatively peaceful, saying that people are nowgoing about their
businesses without molestation.

Speaking with newsmen after he met with President Buhari in Abuja, the Governor commended security agencies for rising to the occasion, hoping that complete peace would be attained in the near future.

He also commended people of the state for not observing the sit-at-home compulsion by the proscribed IPOB.

On the prevention of clashes between farmers and herders, the Governor said the government was regulating grazing activities under a
partnership agreement between the two agricultural communities, adding
that both groups are going about their businesses seamlessly.

He expressed gratitude to President Buhari for acceding to his appeal for intervention in some ecological problems in the state.

On political matters, Governor Uzodinma said the leadership in Igboland had resolved to be part of the federal government, and to
participate at the national level.

Governor Uzodinma called Nigerian leaders and the led to protect the sanctity of the country and its interests by being obedient to the
rule of law and rising against criminal activities.
