Distribution of day old chics to beneficiaries

Five Thousand women and youths are to receive empowerment packages to start up Agricultural businesses in kaduna state.

Coordinator of a Non governmental organization , Women and youths empowerment Mr. Mohammed Abdulkarim who stated this in kaduna said the gesture was a collaborative effort with the Bank of Agriculture.

He emphasized that the beneficiaries were going to receive training on poultry farming, Aquaculture, animal husbandry among others and would be given microcredit ranging between Fifty to two hundred and fifty thousand naira without collateral.

According to muhammed Abdulkarim, the programme was officially launched in Kaduna with the presentation of chicks, one kilogram of feeds and drugs which would also be implemented in the 36 states of the country.

Mr. Abdulkarim said all the beneficiaries would have to undergo training on their chosen businesses before being considered for the various programmes.

Two of the beneficiaries, Hajiya Amina Garba and Mohammed Ndayabo expressed their gratitude and described the iniiative as an opportunity to achieve poverty reduction for the entire country.
