The Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, in collaboration with the Kaduna State Government Delegation on Hajj 2026, has organized special prayer sessions at the sacred plains of Arafat for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Kaduna State and Nigeria.

Addressing pilgrims during the gathering, the Executive Chairman of the agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, congratulated them on the successful conduct of the Hajj rites so far.

He stated that Governor Uba Sani entrusted the Special Committee on Hajj under his leadership with the responsibility of repositioning the agency and improving the welfare of pilgrims from the state.

According to him, the committee remains committed to upholding the trust reposed in it in line with the vision and directives of the governor.

Malam Salihu also prayed for continued wisdom, success, and progress for Governor Uba Sani and the Kaduna State Government in the discharge of their responsibilities.

He further prayed to Allah to bring an end to insecurity in Kaduna State and Nigeria.

He commended members of the Special Hajj Committee and the Government Delegation on Hajj for their dedication, cooperation, and support since their appointments.

Speaking at the event, Chairman of the Kaduna State House of Assembly Committee on Interfaith Affairs, Hon. Naziru Sanusi Abubakar, lauded Governor Uba Sani for providing the necessary support to ensure smooth Hajj operations.

He also praised the leadership of Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, noting that reforms introduced under his administration had positioned Kaduna State as a model for Hajj operations in Nigeria.

Similarly, the Special Assistant on Islamic Religious Matters, Ustaz Abdulrahman Zakariyya, commended the governor for his commitment to the welfare of Kaduna pilgrims and applauded the leadership style of the agency’s chairman.

Also speaking, the Chairman of the Five-Man Government Delegation, Malam Abubakar Mustapha Dan Iyan Gubuchi, congratulated the pilgrims and praised the leadership qualities of Malam Salihu S. Abubakar.

He expressed appreciation to Governor Uba Sani for providing the support and resources that ensured the comfort and welfare of Kaduna pilgrims throughout the Hajj exercise.

The prayer session featured renowned Islamic scholars and clerics, including Sheikh Aliyu Abdullahi Telex, Sheikh Tukur Adam Almannar, Sheikh Alkali Salisu Zaria, Sheikh Aliyu Rasheed Makarfi, Sheikh Halliru Maraya, Sheikh Rabiu Ishaq, and Imam Buhari Maraban Jos, who offered prayers for peace, unity, and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria.
