The Federal Government has unveiled plans to hold a National Women Mega Empowerment and Rally, 2026, a nationwide mobilisation initiative aimed at activating 10 million Nigerian women towards political engagement, policy advocacy and grassroots economic inclusion.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium.

Themed “The Power of 10 Million: One Voice, One Movement, One Choice”, the rally is an initiative being positioned as a structured intervention rather than a symbolic gathering.

It is also designed to consolidate women’s participation in organised influence across Nigeria’s governance and economic systems.

The national women’s mega empowerment rally aims at moving women from “participation to power”.

Participation will involve representatives drawn from Nigeria’s 9,410 wards, with coordination carried out through decentralised networks, instead of relying solely on physical mass attendance.

On the economic front, the rally is also expected to serve as a gateway into broader empowerment programmes, particularly the Renewed Hope Social Impact Intervention 774 Programme.

The programme is targeted at women across all 774 local government areas of the country, with a focus on providing grants, skills development, and enterprise support to enhance economic inclusion and sustainability.

According to the Federal Government, the initiative underscores its commitment to strengthening the role of women in national development through inclusive policies and grassroots engagement.
