The Kwara State Environmental Protection Agency (KWEPA) has organized training for members of the National Youth Service Corps, Environmental Protection and Sanitation CDS Group.

 

Speaking at the programme in Ilorin, the KWEPA General Manager, Jide Aina, said the initiative will improve their knowledge on hygiene.

 

He said the training is part of the Agency’s commitment to promoting sustainable environmental practices and building a network of environmentally conscious citizens across the state.

 

Aina added that the training brought together Corps Members from various locations and focused on modern waste management practices and other key areas.

 

He urged participants to maximize the opportunity and encouraged them to serve as environmental ambassadors, stressing that their roles is vital in promoting personal hygiene and community cleanliness.

 

Aina maintained that empowering young people with environmental knowledge is critical to achieving long-term sustainability.

 

The KWEPA Boss said that the training highlights the Agency’s continued dedication to partnering with youth groups to drive environmental awareness and compliance.

 

He further assured that the Agency remained focused on delivering programmes that promote a cleaner, safer, and more sustainable environment.

 

In her remarks, the President of the,NYSC Environmental Protection and Sanitation CDS Group, Abolarin Sola, described the training as timely and impactful in deepening their understandings of environmental issues.

 

She also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to supporting environmental programmes and policies of government by actively engaging in sensitization campaigns and community-based sanitation efforts.
