The Zamfara State Police Command says it has put in place comprehensive security arrangements to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration across the state.

In a statement, the Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Yazid Abubakar, said the move is in line with the directive of the State Commissioner of Police, who ordered the massive deployment of personnel and operational assets to strategic locations.

These include Eid prayer grounds, recreational centres, major highways, and other vulnerable points across the State.

The Commissioner of Police has also directed all Divisional Police Officers (DPOs) to take proactive measures within their Areas of Responsibility to guarantee the safety of lives and property before, during, and after the festivities.

The Command urged members of the public to remain law-abiding and vigilant, and to promptly report any suspicious movements or activities to the nearest police station or other security agencies.

It further reassured the people of Zamfara State of its commitment to maintaining peace, security, and public order at all times.
