In an efforts to spread kindness and generosity during the Sallah celebration, an NGO, NASARA Foundation, funded by the First Lady of Kebbi State, Hajiya Zainab Nasare has shared Sallah meat and food packages to 200 orphans in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital.

The Chief Press Secretary to the First Lady, Khadijat Saidu made this known to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi while distributing the gesture to the orphans.

She said the gesture was meant to bring smiles to their faces and a sense of belonging before, during and after the festive period while urging others to support those children in cash or kind.

The distribution, carried out by the State Coordinator of NASARA Foundation, Alhaji Abdurasheed Bala said that, apart from the meat and food packages given to these orphans, about 60 groups also received food packages from the foundation earlier.

This initiative is part of NASARA Foundation’s broader commitment to empowering vulnerable members of society across Kebbi State through various programs, including skills acquisition training, scholarship awards, free education, adult literacy support, marriage facilitation, and free medical outreach.

The Foundation’s multifaceted efforts aim to provide holistic support, making a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged and urged them to use the gesture judiciously.
